With the summer months upon us, it’s the perfect time to give our gardens a little bit of extra care and attention. A lot of people take pride in their gardens, whether this is because they have all sorts of plants and flowers growing, a nice water feature, or some stunning night lighting. However you choose to look after your garden, summer is a great time to go that extra mile and maybe even give it a whole new makeover!
As a company that specialise in garden design, we wanted to give you a few ideas on different ways you can make your garden look great this summer…
Investing in some luxury, trendy garden furniture will instantly upgrade your garden to a modernised and luxurious outdoor space to enjoy with friends and family. Relax in your garden in style, with some new outdoor lounge chairs and sofas, or some coordinated tables and chairs. Not only does this look very slick and impressive, but it’s also great for if you host any events such as BBQ’s or parties, as it provides a nice social area to enjoy with friends and family.
Though summer tends to be the time when we want to get the most use out of our garden during the daytime, why not extend this to allow yourself time to enjoy it in the evening? There are all sorts of beautiful lighting you can get for your garden, which creates a relaxing atmosphere and looks amazing. Furthermore, even if you’re hosting something indoors or have guests round in the evening or at night, some nice garden lighting can look great from inside.
If you struggle with the upkeep of your garden and in particular, cutting and trimming your grass, artificial grass is a fantastic alternative. Not only does it not require any upkeep, but it also looks very neat, clean, and high quality. Furthermore, artificial grass is affordable and more often than not, a one time investment, as due to the nature of it you won’t have to put any work into keeping it in good condition and it will last for a long time. The perfect, bright green colour creates a fantastic summer feel about your garden and allows you to make use of the lawn more freely.
As we briefly mentioned, garden maintenance can be tough, particularly when it comes to your lawn. A great way to make this easier for yourself whilst also making the garden look more neat and tidy, is to edge your lawn, like with stones filled around the edges separating it from the next part of your garden, which may be a patio for example.
No one likes unsightly, overgrown foliage in your garden. The best way to deal with this is to get it trimmed down and cleared up, creating much less of an eyesore on your property.
Nothing captures the attention in a garden quite like bursts of colour. The exciting thing about this, is that you can incorporate colour into your garden in any way you would like, whether this is by planting beautiful and exotic, brightly coloured flowers, or maybe adding some new furniture perhaps with coloured cushions, or you could even invest in some big, coloured plant pots to create a focal point as well as keep things neat and tidy. Whichever way you choose to do it, putting more colour in your garden really adds character and livens it up.
